Ezine advertising is easy and effective
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 2:52 pm in Uncategorized

Ezines are an easy and effective method to drive targeted traffic to your website.

Important: Most Ezines will require you to subscribe to their Ezine in order to place an ad.  You MUST get a separate email address just for your Ezine subscriptions so that your main email address is not inundated with Ezines.

Most Ezines/newsletters offer both “sponsorship” and “classified” ads. Sponsorships generally are given top position in the Ezine and are priced at a premium over classified ads. Some Ezines will also mail your “stand-alone” or solo ads which means that your ad will go out as a separate email message to their subscribers. This is always priced at a large premium over either sponsorship or classified advertising.

When writing ads for Ezines or newsletters remember that you are writing a text classified ad. Your ad needs to be short, punchy, benefit oriented, and have a solid “call-to-action” to be effective.

Some Basic Elements of a Successful YouTube Marketing Campaign
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 10:41 am in Uncategorized

YouTube has taken off as one of the premier places to market goods and services. As different people have developed or adapted methods to get the most out of a YouTube marketing campaign, a few essentials have come to be recognized as important to any successful attempt to harness the power of YouTube for buying and selling. Here are a few examples.

YouTube is a visual media event. This means that one of the main elements in a campaign using the site will have to include visual aspects that will be sure to catch the eye. While these may vary depending on the products that are being sold, there is no doubt that choosing subjects with visual impact can make or break the success of the presentation. Many people make a decision within three seconds of whether to view the video all the way through, so capturing interest immediately is crucial.

Along with visuals, there should be some interesting audio elements to the YouTube marketing campaign. Often, this is done with music. In fact, a number of recording artists make good use of YouTube as a medium for promoting new releases or to publicize upcoming concerts. Even products that rely on other forms of audio, such as comedy routines, have to include dialogue that is catchy and will hold the viewer’s attention.

One last vital element of any successful YouTube marketing campaign is that it has to reach resolution within a reasonable amount of time. Consumers do not have the attention span they once had. This means the campaign must capture the attention, deliver the point, and direct the consumer to the sale in a very short period of time. Presentations that are too long run the risk of losing the viewer before the presentation gets around to asking for the business, thus defeating the whole purpose.

Today blogs have become a popular way to get information out on the Internet. They are method of keeping an online diary, a writing forum, or a way to open communication with those you have never met. Like websites blogs they are easily reached by anyone on the internet. This is what makes blogging for profit a viable alternative that is easy to get started. Depending on how you want to start you can put your blog on a free site, pay a small fee on any of the many sites available or if you can set up a blog on your own website

Selling ad space is a common practice and can be done through Google’s ad service, which is free to those who want to use it. This service will enable you to find advertisements that are applicable to your blog topic. You can have as many as twelve ads per page. You earn money each time someone comes to your blog and clicks on one of the ads. Another way to earn is to become an affiliate. This means that you would put links to other websites on your blog. Just like with the ads, every time someone clicks on a link you get paid a small fee. As long as your topic is a good match for the links you put on you should be able to earn a small sum.

There are other things you can use your blog for to help improve business. You can have a blog on your website so that customers can keep track of what is going on at your company. How to Use Pay Per Click Advertising
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 10:09 am in Uncategorized

There are a variety of ways to attract visitors to your online business, but one of the most tried and true is pay per click advertising. You have likely seen these abundant ads before. They pop up everywhere on sites like Google, Yahoo!, MSN, and a multitude of personal blogs and forums across the internet. But do you know how to take advantage of them as a necessary marketing tool for your business? Read on to find out some tips and tricks that can help you get the most from pay per click advertising.

Ultimately, you need to design your pay per click advertising to attract valuable customers to your website. Customers who will visit your site, browse around a bit, and either bookmark it for a later purchase or buy something immediately. Because pay per click ads cost you every time someone clicks on your ad, you want to try and weed out the riff raff as much as possible, and the best way to do so is to make sure your ads are targeted.

Let’s take Google Adwords, possibly the most popular pay per click advertiser on the web, as an example. Adwords can place your link wherever someone has chosen to include a Google Adsense advertising block on their website. It displays links based on what kind of information is found on the Adsense user’s page, so you need to make sure that your ad campaign is focused. And you can only do so by selecting very specific target keywords.

The best strategy for pay per click advertising is to find your niche and go for it. Chances are that your site is selling a specific product, so make sure that you include keywords that only pertain to that product in your ad campaign. The more specific, the better. But remember, you should always throw in an extra, more general, keyword or two to make sure that you can pick up clients who may have not even known specifically what they were looking for.

Why A Viral Marketing Video Is A Good Strategy
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 10:35 am in Uncategorized

One of the more popular strategies in use with viral marketing campaigns today is the use of video. But are there any good reasons why the current trend of the viral marketing video is getting so much buzz among affiliate marketing enthusiasts? Actually, there are a couple of good reasons.

Viral marketing is all about getting people to pass along information related to the business through their social networks. This may come in the form of text emails, banner ads, and other electronic documents that can be forwarded. More recently, games have also become a popular way to get the word circulating. But the kingpin appears to be the video. The main reason behind the success of the video has to do with the fact that so many people are visual in the way they approach the world. The video appeals to this fact. When people see a video presentation, there is a better chance that they will actually stop and see what the presentation is all about. This in turn increases the chances of sales taking place within a short period of time after the viewing takes place.

There also appears to be a fair amount of research that suggest the viral marketing video is more likely to be passed along to friends, family, business associates and other members of the individual’s social network. In fact, there are some indications that many people will go ahead and forward a video to their contacts as soon as they finish viewing the piece. This is contrasted with a text email, which may or may not be forwarded immediately. Quicker distribution through the social networks means more people will see the video in a shorter period of time.

As more people become aware of the power of the viral marketing video, there will no doubt be more links to videos in our email boxes. Why not settle in and enjoy one or two? You may come across a product or service that is just what you and one or two friend need.

Viral Marketing Tools Shown to be Effective and Easy to Use
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 10:57 am in Uncategorized

There are many different methods to putting together a viral marketing campaign. These methods include those that will have a small cost for the advertisers while others will cost nothing more than some time to make the promotion work. One of the more simple viral marketing tools is using a signature line on your emails. Almost all email sources will allow the addition of a signature line to an outgoing email. It can be part of every email that is sent even replies. It becomes a tool when instead of simply signing your name you use it with a tagline to interest the person who receives the email in a product or service you are offering. Therefore the way to make it work best is to write a catchy line and then underneath that put a link to your website.

Other viral marketing tools that are used a lot is the submission of articles. What you do is send an article you have written to a website that accepts them, being certain that you write on the topics they are looking for content about. Do this on sites that allow a space for the author, you, to put something in about yourself. In this area you can do a short bio on yourself and put in a link to your own website. This will bring traffic to your site simply by being on someone else’s. Again, it promotes what you are doing without you have to do much work except to keep your website interesting to others.

Probably the most common method of viral marketing is the one where the campaign uses word of mouth to spread their advertising message. This is done by promoting to a number of people, often beginning with people you know, and getting them to then forward the message along to others. To compensate them for their efforts discounts or some free items are promised if their contacts sign up at the website being promoted. This is one of the viral marketing tools used most often and can be incorporated into the advertising campaign of both big and small companies. It is notable for the large number of people that opt into the program.

Viral Internet Marketing May Be the Wave of Future Advertising
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 10:28 am in Uncategorized

What exactly is meant by viral internet marketing? The definition of this latest type of promotional campaign is simple; it is the use of an approach to advertising that allows for the message to be sent out by persons who are doing no more than passing it along and by this method increasing the potential exposure of that message. One message passed along form one person quickly multiplies until it is soon being sent by hundreds and then thousands. This is the best kind of campaign since it costs virtually nothing to get out the promotional message of a company about its products or services.

Other phrases for this kind of campaign include social networking, word of mouth, network marketing, or leveraging the media. These phrases are more commonly used when the promotion is being used offline. But when we are talking about internet promotions the phrase used is viral internet marketing. The best example of one of these campaigns is the subtle one used by Hotmail. They do nothing more than put an advertisement at the bottom of each email that is sent. This allows for those who receive the email to sign up for a free account. There is no pressure, no encouragement needed. The offer is there if the person in receipt of the email wants to use it. Yet, it brings in new subscribers daily.

The best thing about viral internet marketing is what it offers to those using this tool. It gives them a quick way to get their message out to potentially thousands of people at a low or no cost option. It can be used by large or small companies looking for large or small advertising campaigns. This method uses the internet, and sometimes the greed, of the average person to do the work for them. No new expenses are incurred since the internet is already in place and being used by the company wanting to promote their service or product. Lastly, the people doing the promoting for them are not asked to make a big time commitment. This also encourages them to get involved. Due to the ease in which one of these programs can be begun this type of marketing tool is steadily growing in popularity.

Do Viral Marketing Ebooks Work?
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 10:31 am in Uncategorized

One of the tools used in viral marketing campaigns is the ebook. The use of ebooks in the work of viral marketing can take on several different applications. Here are some examples of how viral marketing ebooks can be used to great advantage.

One of the most common uses of ebooks with viral marketing has to do with providing a little incentive for looking into an offer for goods or services. The ebook is often related to the target audience for the product, and the offer of a free ebook on a subject that the consumer is interested is often enough to entice the viewer into going through a few basic steps in order to obtain the free item. After receiving something, a significant number of consumers will be predisposed toward finding a good reason to buy something, as a way of expressing appreciation for obtaining something for nothing.

Viral marketing ebooks sometimes make their case for a product or service by making good use of the text contained within the book. The subject matter of the book may focus on presenting a particular problem or need, with the text eventually pointing to a given product or set of products as being the ultimate answer to all the problems. This approach helps to sensitize the consumer to the nature of the problem and then systematically present workable solutions. The combination of these two factors creates a mindset that has the consumer ready to accept a solution, which is then supplied by the product.

A final attribute of viral marketing ebooks is that they are easy to pass on. Once a consumer downloads the book, there is nothing to prevent the consumer from passing the book on to friends, family members, business associates, or others that are part of the broader social network of the individual. Most people are more receptive to receiving an ebook from an acquaintance than they would be to a forwarded email or a direction to a banner ad. As more people read and pass on the ebook, the chances for additional sales to result increases dramatically.

How to Build Email Lists That Work
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 9:42 am in Uncategorized

Just about any Internet entrepreneur will tell you that a solid email list is essential to the success of the business. But how does one go about building an email list that will serve the company well and help to generate revenue? Here are some examples of how to build email lists that will work for your online business.

One of the easiest steps in how to build email lists begins with your web site. Adding a page that allows people to sign up for emails related to your business is a great way to build up a list of persons who will be interested in finding out about promotions, sales, and other aspects of your business. There is also an excellent chance that these consumers will also pass on your information to others, so the list can continue to grow over time.

Another idea on building up your email lists involves placing online classified ads. There are a number of sites around the Internet that allow businesses to advertise their products for little or nothing. Include a link to your sign up page, and there is a good chance that you will soon see some new additions to your list in no time. The great thing about the ads is that you can always go back and post a new one every now and then, possibly reaching new consumers.

There is one avenue that you should avoid at all costs. That is the purchase of email lists that do not come with an assurance of being qualified. Unqualified email lists often include obsolete email addresses, as well as information that was obtained by scrolling through the Internet. Of all the ideas of how to build email lists, this is the one that carries the most potential to damage your business. Getting the reputation for being a spammer, after using an unqualified email list, will accomplish nothing but cause people to disregard your promotions and severely limit your opportunities for growing the business. Keep the contacts in your email list current and qualified, and the list will serve you well for many years to come.
