Three Fallacies Of Internet Network Marketing
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 12:35 am in Online Business, Promotion and Marketing

There are a number of myths of an MLM Internet, here are just three of them.

Myth 1# Just call enough people and you will find great success in your Internet Network Marketing
————————————-

If you’ve been in the industry world for any length of time I’m sure you’ve heard this false claim. It states it’s a numbers game and if you just call enough people you will be successful.
In essence, this statement is true, but there is a HUGE misnomer in it.

Let me explain, true if you call enough people you will find success, but after buying leads and calling well over 500 people and not having one person enter my business it’s not as easy as it looks.
First you have to have the money to purchase all those leads.

Most people don’t have this type of money to put out before finding any initial success.

You see it’s NOT just about contacting people it’s about being GOOD at contacting people.

I wasn’t good and I didn’t have the money to continue my hard knock education to find a glimmer of hope.

Phoning leads is NOT as duplicatable as “they” say. What is duplicatable is having a direct marketing system to do the selling for you. That’s what works online.

Myth 2# You can achieve financial success with little or no money.
—————————————————–

This is one of my personal favorites. We have all been in the scenario where we have been to a “ra ra” meeting and those at the front telling there tales are asked how did you get so many sales or how did you recruit so many people the answer will almost always be:

‘I just talked to everyone always, I was unemployed when I started this business’!   Whatever.  If it was that simple we all would have made it a long time ago right.

Myth 3# You cannot build a MLM business using the internet
—————————————

It’s normally the same people who say this are the same people who claim they have built a business with little or no money. Think about it, the internet is an great way of doing business. Millions upon millions are surfing the internet on a daily basis you can put yourself in front of these individuals passively.

When I started using the internet as my marketing medium for my business I requested the help of others that have been successful in promoting a residual income producing business.

I asked them if it was possible to create a large income in the business using the internet. My question was met with overwhelming amounts of friction.

I was told that it simply couldn’t be done. I was told that it was not personal enough of a means for this business means to be used effectively in the way that I was referring.
I couldn’t understand why.

The internet is a personal method and is great for building personal relationships and the results of hundreds or thousands of network marketers have proved it.

So, if the above myths are things that don’t usually work, then what does work?

Creating your own leads works great, and you can do that on the internet, if you have some kind of system.

If you have a list and you continually ad-pound your members without giving value it’s a fair bet that sooner rather than later, those list members will eventually opt out.

Why is this? Simply because you’re not providing them with value. It’s one of the key ingredients missing from many running an internet network marketing business; they can attract the prospects but simply can’t get them past that stage.

Now there’s a simple solution for this. You train and educate your members from the moment they enter your lead funnel. Instead of sending them short, punchy sales oriented material why not send them information they can use and act on. Send them links to free resources or write a short report and let them have it.

Until you understand what your prospects really want then it’s going to be an uphill battle for you. Ann Sieg teaches this in The Renegade Network Marketer and confesses she struggled for a long time before giving her prospects what they wanted.

Why Someone Becomes Your Prospect

Maybe they saw you as someone who could lead them to the “promised land.” Here’s a cold hard fact…most people looking for a internet network marketing opportunity do so because they have a problem. It’s usually of a financial nature, either lack of current funds or they want to set up a nest egg for the future that they can live from comfortably and provide for their families.

Emotions come into play and if you can tap into these emotions then you are half way to getting them to join you at some stage down the line in your business. These people are looking for someone to show them how to get to a stage where they are realizing their goals.

Training Your Prospect

One way to build trust with them is to train them from the moment they enter your prospect funnel. Provide tips they can use, show them the right way to build an inter-network marketing business and show them free resources they can go to for now to educate themselves about building an online business.

Sure, you’re not making money right away from them but in the big picture, some of these people could eventually become the Diamonds in your business you’re craving. It’s like growing a garden, some nurturing and care is required in the initial stages and when it takes off well, it will literally fly.

It’s you people are interested in and not the company you’re with. If you earn someone’s trust in the first few weeks then you will be in a strong position to make a recommendation or two. But until you do this, don’t expect many people to hit the buy button when you immediately starting pounding them with sales pitch after sales pitch after they opt into your funnel.

Any network marketing advertising review today must center around the internet. That is, unless you can promote your offer online then the chances are you will be leaving massive lost opportunity on the table.

Keyword research is a little understood process by network marketers going online and looking for targeted prospects. The lack of training is one reason for this and in this article, you will learn a simple tactic which will help you find the best keywords to target.

For example, network marketing is a broad term and highly competitive. If you are writing an article around this term for the web then it’s unlikely you’ll make much of an impact simply because you will have millions of competitors.

Keyword Modifiers

Keyword modifiers are words you can add to broad terms to make them more long tail and more importantly, more targeted. For example, add review to network marketing and suddenly you reduce your competition from tens of millions to under two million searches. Much easier to rank for.

Add the word tips to this phrase and you come up with network marketing review tips and suddenly the search count drops to half a million and your chances of ranking for this phrase further increases. But the key here is somebody typing this phrase into a search engine is more likely in more of a buying mood than some just typing in network marketing.

Attraction Marketing Tips

The attraction marketing process is the key to getting prospects to find your online real estate and your network marketing based opportunity.

We spoke about you being the solutions provider and that’s what you are. When people go looking online for answers relating to a network marketing based opportunity they will use the exact phrase to locate the information.

What you’re doing is acting as a conduit and connecting between what they need with their search term and providing the information they are looking for.

The keyword aspect of attraction marketing is vital. Unless you are properly optimizing your sites and using keywords effectively such as in the title, several times in the content and in your resource boxes then you will be fighting an uphill battle attracting people to your site.

People generally go online looking for answers and solutions and when you optimize for a variety of terms then you broaden your chances of capturing these prospects. But remember, make sure your content is quality and satisfies the visitor. If you are what’s called keyword stuffing your content will be flagged and dispatched from the search index.

Ann Sieg The Renegade Network Marketer Review
Posted by Margaret O'Connor Flanigan at 2:55 am in Online Business, Promotion and Marketing

In my Renegade Network Marketer review, discover what is inside Ann Sieg’s groundbreaking ebook The Renegade Network Marketer.

What do you think is the toughest challenge facing MLMers during the vital first 3 months of their business? Yes, it’s cashflow.

Many people are drawn into an MLM business by seeing examples of huge incomes and when they join, they are disappointed to find that making money takes time. 90% of them will drop out within 3 monthsand it is usually because they could not cover their start up costs.

It takes money to run a network marketing business, even if you are working part time from home. You usually have to pay a joining fee on top of buying stock, having your stationery printed etc. Often there is a monthly membership or autoship fee too. New recruits may pay out hundreds or even thousands of dollars in those first 3 months.

You can cover those start up costs very quickly, but not by following the company’s plan. In The Renegade Network Marketer, Ann Sieg hands out a system that can bring in money right away to cover your costs while you are getting started. She hits out hard at the outdated network marketing myths that many uplines are still repeating to new distributors today.

Sidenote: you can find out more about these MLM myths in Ann’s free report, 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing.

When I came across The Renegade Network Marketer I had doubts, even though it was clear that what I had been doing up to then was not working. I thought she might be just another MLM basher. In fact, Ann has a very positive attitude to MLM. It’s just the old methods that she criticizes. Replacing them with her own new methods for the 21st century has brought her huge success.

The Renegade Network Marketer is packed with MLM gold nuggets. Ann never wastes words and really does show how you can make money in MLM without recruiting anyone into your main business. She saves the best information for the end, setting out a success blueprint that is easy to follow. You also get free membership in the Renegade System so that you can put it all into practice right away.

Ann is not particularly tactful and some of the old style MLMers may be offended. That’s too bad. But if the old way is not working for you and you want to understand why the prospecting and recruiting methods you are using are actually hurting your business, it’s worth taking a look. You will see strategies which are not generally taught at those opportunity meetings.

The following is a story all too familiar in the internet network marketing world and while attraction marketing is a concept which has now been with us for some time, it seems there is a mountain of work to do to swing most MLMers around to the concept.

It’s a syndrome called desperate marketer and it is so obvious and rarely gets any results that’s it’s a wonder why people just don’t wake up to the fact that by coming at a prospect like a “bull at a gate” just serves to drive them away.

Ann Sieg made some startling observations in her hard hitting report The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing and a lot of the points she raised all lead to the desperate marketer syndrome. The concept of attraction marketing followed by strong pre-sell tactics all designed to gain the prospect’s trust before the sales pitch, if it’s in fact required, needs to be really understood.

My Brush With A Desperate Marketer

Now I’m the first to admit I was as desperate as anyone when I first ventured into internet network marketing and it took a lot of focused training to get my mindset in the right place. I was recently contacted by who I thought was a prospect and here’s how the call went.

The prospect wanted to know a little more about the renegade system and I’m always happy to give some time when I have it and I was looking forward to also coaching this person a little.

But here’s the thing…within one minute of the conversation starting this fellow launched into a full blown sales pitch about his network marketing opportunity. He spoke about how great his company is, how life changing the products are and I should stop wasting my time studying systems like Ann Sieg’s Renegade.

I was taken aback. It caught me completely by surprise although it’s happened before on a smaller scale. So I listened…and listened…and listened. I had some time and just wanted to see how far he would go. When he finished by asking me for my mailing address so he could send me more information I simply told him you’ve just answered your own question about why I studied books like the Renegade Network Marketer.

I then asked him if he understood the concept of attraction marketing and more importantly, pre-selling. He refused to want to hear what I had to say so the conversation was cut short. I knew about his company and yes, their products are good but I was not looking for a networking opportunity.

You see, attraction marketing is all about putting your offer, whether it’s network marketing, internet marketing or just about any business opportunity in front of a hungry crowd who is ready to receive your message. Your prospects will be more targeted and more receptive to what you will have to say.

What I got was another desperate marketer who put himself first and the prospect second. At no stage did he want to know what my goals were or how I wanted to reach them. I turned off mentally in the first 20 seconds but thought he needed some practice with his sales pitch and that’s why I let him go on.

And every time I get this approach, listening to it just gives me more confidence that I’m on the right path with systems like the Renegade Network Marketer. How about you?

If you are starting an internet network marketing business then one of the first requirements you need is to develop or at least have a long term mindset for success. Here’s what we mean.

Recently, a Renegade system prospect contacted us and simply asked how long it would take to break even using Ann Sieg’s system. This question is one of the one’s we never like to hear although you could understand in a sense it being asked by someone working on a tight budget.

But the truth is, most of the time it’s being asked by someone who has already set themselves up for failure. At worst, it’s someone who doubts they can succeed. Answering a question like this is almost impossible because there are so many variables and usually, they are all connected to the person asking it.

For starters, we have no idea how much effort is going to be put into the implementation of the Renegade Network Marketer blueprint. What we do know is the blueprint is rock solid. There is obviously a learning curve involved especially for those coming online for the first time straight from the battlefields of offline network marketing.

The Attraction Marketing Model

By wondering when you’re going to break even means you’re focusing on the wrong things. Sure, you’re going to be worried about expense but that’s part and parcel with starting most businesses. The question I like to hear is “what can I do to give value to my prospects?”

It gets back to giving value first and when you do this and earn a prospect’s trust then magic does really happen. By going in with a “when will I break even” attitude a person is basically entering a business with a defeatist mind.

And as soon as an obstacle is thrown in their path then their first reaction will be to quit, not because it’s too hard but because they will be thinking about whether they should risk an other autoship payment.

Instead of thinking when you are going to start to break even wouldn’t it be better to set very easy goals short term which you can achieve. For example, start with setting a goal of getting your first prospect followed by a goal of getting five prospects in a week, then five more the next week and so on.

These are easy goals to achieve with the Renegade system. Can you see how powerful using this strategy is for maintaining momentum in your business?

Generating leads is an essential part of building an at home business. Without leads, your business will cough and splutter and really go nowhere.

One of the big mistakes at home business owners such as network marketers make is driving their leads away after attracting them into their funnel. Sounds crazy doesn’t it and it’s called the desperate marketer syndrome.

People willing to do everything but give their prospect what they really want during the initial contact and that’s what’s in it for them and how do I get there. It’s called giving value before asking for the sale and the truth is, if it’s executed correctly then in many cases, the sales pitch won’t even be required.

An home based business is hard enough to establish and grow without sabotaging it with desperate marketing tactics which leave a sour taste in the mouth of a prospect and you a lead lighter. So what is a desperate marketer and how do they behave. Does this sound familiar?

The Desperate Network Marketer

Here’s an example of a desperate marketer. He gets a lead and is due to speak with them on the phone. Now this first step is going to tell a prospect a lot about the person they’re thinking of joining in business. And this is where most network marketers fluff it. Many suddenly get gripped by the desperate marketer syndrome.

They get into a lather about “what if this person doesn’t join my business” or “are they a potential Diamond Director and what if I lose them.”

And the phone conversation will go something like this…”Hi Joan, my name’s Ron and it’s good to meet you.” After the initial pleasantries the desperate marketer takes over. The conversation deteriorates to something like this.

“I’m with company xyz and we are the best company in network marketing. Our products are life changing and will cure anything and boy, our compensation plan is the best. You’ll make a fortune with company xyz and you can’t fail because we do all the work for you. And if you don’t join our company you’ll be sorry because now is the time to get in blah, blah, blah…”

The Dreaded Early Sales Pitch

What’s wrong with this picture. Right, there has been nothing asked about what the prospect wants, their needs, their pain and how they can reach their goals. The desperate marketer has launched into a sales pitch from the get go and it’s been all about him.

The truth is, the company should never be mentioned unless the prospect specifically asks what it is. Never mention the products and never threaten the prospect with “if you don’t join…”

Make this initial conversation and one’s to follow all about the prospect. Give them information, training materials, educational resources. Show them you are genuinely interested in helping them achieve their goals. Show them you are someone who knows what you’re talking about and more importantly, earn their trust first and watch your at home based business grow.

The art of attracting network marketing leads is something many don’t have the ability to do or the stomach to attempt. The latter reason applies particularly to network marketers using old school methods of prospecting which meant approaching people directly and pitching a business opportunity.

The truth is, it’s a style most hate and just don’t want to be part of. And who can blame them. It’s unprofessional and hit and miss. The key is to pitch your opportunity to people ready to receive your offer.

Another problem with the old method of prospecting is that even if you do manage to sign someone into your business the chances of them dropping out are high. They didn’t ask to see your opportunity in the first place and usually there is a lot of pitching and convincing taking place. Many resort to making wild claims such as you don’t need any skills to do this business.

So attracting MLM leads is not easy…well, not quite true. The internet has leveled the playing field…enormously. And better still, targeting only responsive leads has never been easier.

Who Wants To Hear Your Offer?

The secret is in attracting people who actually want to hear about your offer. In other words, targeted leads. Approaching anyone and everyone is not the way to source leads. It’s an unprofessional way to do business and will convey an image of desperation on your part.

The internet has breathed new life into lead generation for the MLM business in such a way that many are building successful downlines simply through targeted leads obtained online.

Now you may be thinking “well, I’ll just go and spend several hundred dollars and purchase a few thousand leads from a lead generation company.” No, that’s a shortcut to going broke. When you do this you don’t have control.

In the main, these are extremely unreliable and who’s to know how many times these leads have been used even though they are promoted as fresh and targeted.

How To Source Targeted Leads

The best way of finding network marketing leads are the ones you source yourself. How?

- By offering people something of value. By setting yourself up as someone who knows what they’re talking about.

- By building a blog or a website on network marketing and having an optin form to a report of some type which people can download for free.

- By promoting yourself to people who are looking for exactly what you have to offer.

- By building a relationship with your leads before you even talk about your offer.

When network marketing recruiting, the one stumbling block which faces many MLMers is how they are viewed by their prospects in terms of business experience.

There is a well worn adage in the business learning world which revolves around the point that if you want to make a certain amount of money then you need to be learning from someone who is making it or at least double or even triple what you currently make. On the surface, it’s a sound principle but in network marketing, this is not the case in the majority of situations.

How does a young person with little business experience or a work at home mom increase their credibility in the eyes of their prospects when they are virtually on the same level? Is it a drawback and can it be overcome? Well, the answer is yes to both questions but there is a strong solution in today’s environment and it’s called the internet.

Renegade Network Marketing

The way to get around this is to join the revolution taking place online. It’s called renegade network marketing and the bottom line is, by using attraction marketing techniques, credibility really isn’t an issue anymore because prospects will come to you.

As far as boosting one’s MLM recruiting efforts, when someone actually approaches you about your business opportunity the magic that occurs here is you are suddenly in a position of holding the carrot and the prospect wants it. That’s the power of attraction marketing.

It’s called positioning yourself. When you go after prospects relentlessly using the old prospecting tactics you have nothing to bargain with. The prospect has all the power. You are offering them the chance to join you in business but what are you really offering them. Is it a health product, an opportunity to make lots of money or the chance to start their own home business. Why would a prospect say yes to any of these benefits when they didn’t even ask you for information on your offer.

Targeting Hungry Prospects

Can you see where this is going? It’s the prospect who is positioned to make the decisions. But you can easily turn this around by placing your promotions in front of a hungry home business seeking crowd and gain positioning strength yourself. Instead of harassing and chasing down prospects, attract their attention and get them coming to you.

MLM online is growing rapidly. People are realizing they can prospect more than just their own back yard. They have an entire planet to target and better still, by creating online real estate and offering people informative articles and business building tips instead of a sales pitch, the lead generation machine will be active 24/7.

It’s the precursor to powerful inter-network marketing recruiting strategies. When you position yourself in the prospecting stakes then it’s you who has what the prospect wants and this is the key to getting large sign up numbers in MLM.

Writing articles for your Internet Network Marketing Business can help you expand your subscriber base, increase your downlines and profits when done well. Here are some tips on how you can successfully distribute your articles for most exposure and results:

1. Use article directories for your article submission. There is currently some debate over whether submitting to just a little top directories would get you the model results or submitting to as many directories as possible. In my modest opinion, if it is for value of exposure, I’ll say “the more, the merrier”.  Submit to as many article directories as possible.  Just getting an average of 100 page views per directory, can convert into about 30,000 article readers who will eventually click your author’s byline to visit your website.

2. To increase the effect of this exponentially, offer your visitors a compiled edition of your articles to convey to their friends. If your articles are that good, know that people would want to send them to their associates and colleagues.

3. Make a list of these articles on your website so that if Person A arrived at the site as a product of reading one of your articles on an article directory, he can have the chance of reading some of your other articles.

4. Look for communities where people of comparable minds connect with each other. A single mention of your article to a list of about 100,000 can increase your business’ exposure extremely.  Most times, if your articles were good, people would want to publish them on their websites and add them to their lists.

Follow these tips and I am sure you will increase your MLM Home Business Opportunity by leaps and bounds.
